Voting to decide the idol of Lord Ram Lalla, which will be installed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple next month, is to be held on Friday, sources said.
Ahead of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla Temple at Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a visit to Ayodhya on December 30, during which he will inaugurate various projects worth Rs 15 thousand crore to Ayodhya.
On January 21, the Ram Lalla idol will be bathed in 125 urns and will finally be laid to rest. On the final day, January 22, after the morning puja, the deity of Ram Lala will be consecrated in 'Mrigashira Nakshatra' in the afternoon.
Volunteers and devotees went door to door, offered the Akshantalu or Akshad (rice grains) brought from Ayodhya and distributed pamphlets to the devotees to visit Ayodhya, Ram Janmabhoomi on the occasion of Sri Ram Lalla temple opening.
In a remarkable initiative, the "Do Dhage Sri Ram Ke Liye" campaign has kickstarted in Pune, capturing the spirit of lakhs of people who have come together to weave dresses (vastras) for the revered Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya.

Ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, a replica of the temple made from iron scrap is being built in Indore.
The VHP workers, together with other Hindu organisations, will go to Hindu families in the cities and villages of the state between January 1 and January 15 with Akshat Kalash to invite them.
