The Indian Army is conducting operations to flush out a group of terrorists involved in an ambush on an army truck in the Tota Gali area of Bhata Dhurian in the Jammu region about a fortnight ago, where another five soldiers lost lives.
This comes a day after five soldiers were killed during the anti-terror 'Operation Trinetra' of the Indian Army with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday cast his vote in Lucknow in the first phase of Municipal Corporation elections and urged people to exercise their franchise.
During his visit, Rajnath Singh and Mariya Didi held bilateral talks to enhance defence cooperation and strengthen the longstanding partnership between India and Maldives.
The Fast Patrol Vessel, capable of coastal and offshore surveillance at high speeds, was commissioned as the MNDF Coast Guard ship Huravee. President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi were present on the occasion.
"Excellent meeting with HEP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at the President's Office in Male. We discussed a wide range of issues to further strengthen the relations between India and Maldives," the Union Defence Minister tweeted on Tuesday.
According to the government release, the Defence Minister will hold bilateral talks with his Maldivian counterpart Mariya Ahmed Didi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid during the visit.
"...PM is not just a person but an institution on its own...The manner in which Congress leaders are making personal attacks on the PM, they're shredding the traditions of a healthy democratic system...," he said.
Addressing the reporters at the conclusion of the SCO Defence Ministers' Meeting on Friday, Aramane said, "All the member countries were unanimous in their statement that the terrorism, in whatever form, shall be condemned and controlled."
