Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Saturday claimed that the BJP will form a strong government in Rajasthan where polling for the 199-member assembly began on Saturday morning.
As voting began in 199 out of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan on Saturday, a mock poll could not be conducted at booth number 63 of the Hanumangarh district here on time due to EVM malfunction.
A range of factors will be at play in the Rajasthan assembly polls on Saturday with BJP seeking to oust the Congress government in the state by vociferously raising issues concerning farmers, women and youth and alleged corruption and both parties seeking to woo voters with tall promises.
Chief Electoral Officer of Rajasthan, Praveen Gupta, said on Friday that over 3 lakh people exercised their franchise via postal ballot ahead of the Assembly elections in Rajasthan on November 25.
"The BJP does not have much to show on their report card. Everyone is able to see the chaos in the Rajasthan BJP and they are saying these things to hide their own problems. They should stop worrying about me. My party and the people will worry about me," Sachin Pilot said.
Exuding confidence ahead of the upcoming polls in Rajasthan, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the BJP is set to form government in the state and the possibility of getting a two-thirds majority in a 200-member Assembly cannot be ruled out.
"It was said by everyone...Will they send a notice to everyone, as it is trending on social media? Rahul Gandhi said the people were already saying...," Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said.
