On Wednesday, CM Bhajanlal Sharma held a high-level meeting to discuss the ongoing situation. The Rajasthan government earlier said that the state was on "alert mode" and special instructions were given to the administration of the border districts in the state.
The minister further claimed that if the water of the Indus River flowed from Pakistan to India instead then the country would have obstructed the river long ago, however India fulfilled its responsibility but Pakistan drank the same water and killed our people instead.
A Special Court in Jaipur on Friday granted four days days custody of former Rajasthan minister Mahesh Joshi to Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
Speaking on the arrest, Rajasthan's Minister of State for Home Affairs, Jawahar Singh Bedham, said, "The ED is an independent agency. They only act when there is reason to do so."
Speaking to the ANI, Patel said, "Congress has a history of scams. From the coal scam to most of the scams in the country, Congress has its name on them. The investigating agency has been investigating the National Herald case for a long time."
ED conducted searches at more than 15 locations, including the residential premises of Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and AAP leader Kulwant Singh.
"His statement is completely condemnable. The names that he has taken are the leaders who support NDA. These amendments are being brought for the security of the Waqf properties...These amendments in the Waqf Bill are the need of the hour," Patel told ANI.
"It is unfortunate that he is insulting such warriors to further his shallow politics. He can speak freely (independently) because of the sacrifices made by such warriors. Because of them, our culture, customs and democracy remain alive," the minister told ANI.
Rajasthan Minister Madan Dilawar accuses the previous Ashok Gehlot government of a Rs 1705 crore scam involving mid-day meals and inflated madrasa student numbers. Dilawar announced a new investigation into the corruption, citing fraudulent practices and inflated procurement prices.
