Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday conducted a comprehensive review of the situation in the state following the unseasonal rains by holding a video conference with the District Collectors from Gandhinagar.
India Meteorological Department on Saturday issued an orange alert for multiple districts in the state of Chhattisgarh predicting light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a wet weather warning for Maharashtra over the next few hours, saying that multiple cities and districts were likely to experience a thunderstorm accompanied by light rainfall.
"There will be isolated rainfall throughout India in the coming few days with a yellow alert for most states in the country," India Meteorological Department (IMD) scientist Soma Sen Roy told ANI on Saturday.
The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday said that Odisha would likely to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and rain till March 10.
Weather experts attributed the abnormally warm February to a lack of rainfall. The weather agency has also put out a dire summer forecast this year, predicting intermittent spells of heat waves.
