Medical camps have also been established in the district, the DPRO said adding that more water will be released from Pong Dam on Tuesday night which will affect about 17 villages of the region.
Amid incessant rainfall, Maharashtra Disaster Management Minister Anil Patil on Thursday said that 98 out of 178 people have been rescued so far and 12 have died adding that the rescue operations are still underway.
As heavy rainfall hit the Gir Somnath district of Gujarat, Sutrapada City remained waterlogged. Yesterday's drone visuals showed that a significant part of the city was grappling with waterlogging.
"The Sonali river flowing through dozens of villages of Laksar swelled. As a result the Sonali River dam broke down near Kuan Kheda village. As soon as the dam broke, the water of the river started flowing on the other side," officials said.
Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Jairam Thakur on Monday said that the state has witnessed unprecented rains in the past few days and expressed concern over the loss of lives and damage to infrastructure
"Apart from this, one day holiday has been declared in all other schools/colleges, Anganwadi centres from class 01 to class 12 of the district," an officials statement said.
Teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) were deployed in Kutch, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Navsari, which were some of the worst-affected districts, officials said.
"Monsoon has arrived in Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Bhopal, Katni, Raisen, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Seoni, Sagar, Sehore, Chhindwara, Balaghat and Betul on Monday," said Pramendra Kumar, Meteorologist, IMD Bhopal.
CM Dhami obtained information from the Disaster Control Room about the present weather condition, rain situation, water-logging and damages caused due to rain in the state.
