Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha on Sunday said that the waterlogging situation in Mumbai due to heavy rainfall is under control and the war room is constantly monitoring the situation.

Heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph are expected over Punjab and Haryana from June 25 to 26, said an official press release on Sunday.
"Four persons were injured due to lightning in village Kandiyal village under Tehsil Purola of Uttarkashi. One of these persons died," District Disaster Management Officer Devendra Patwal said.
Subdivisional Magistrate Puran Singh Rana said that the district administration is taking stock of the damages caused by rainfall. Though no casualties has been reported, the district disaster management team has been alerted, he said.
Incessant rains in the last 24 hours, have caused extensive damage in several parts of Mandi district. At the same time, roads have been shut in many areas. Several vehicles were washed away due to flash flood in a rivulet at Janjehli in Mandi district.
"In the first rain itself, the condition of Mumbai is visible. There is water logging at everywhere. The Chief Minister was inspecting the preparedness of the sewerage system along with the officers a month ago. It is obvious that the sewerage system was not maintained as it should have been
