The accused persons in the death of UPSC aspirants in Old Rajinder Nagar argued in court that heavy rain was the reason for the unfortunate incident and it was an "act of God" while Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court was hearing their bail plea on Friday.
The recent heavy rainfall and flood situation in Himachal Pradesh has led to a devastating loss of Rs 900 crore to the Irrigation and Public Health (IPH), Public Works Department (PWD), and the state's road infrastructure, a government release said on Friday.
