Occurrence and filling up of vacancies is a continuous processes in Indian Railways considering its size, spatial distribution and criticality of operation, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said, noting that the recruitment process is on for 1,20,579 vacancies notified in 2024 and 2
2,94,115 vacancies have been filled up in the last five years and up to 30th September 2023 in the Indian Railways, said Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha said that the recruitments are periodically done anticipating vacancies and the needs on the ground considering new services, new technologies, mechanisation and new systems that are being done.
