Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express train crossed the restored railway track in Odisha's Balasore on Monday hours after the passenger train services were resumed in the district.
According to Southern Railway CPRO B Guganesan, "The base of the coach above the wheel in Kollam to Chennai Egmore express (16102) had a crack when the train crosses Punalur Forest Division. This was noticed by railway staff which averted big tragedy."
Indian Railways on Monday has started running passenger trains on the tracks in Bahanaga village in Odisha's Balasore which were affected due to the triple train accident.
