Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday boasted of a significant development in India's transportation infrastructure, particularly in the metro network and Indian railways, stating that the country now has 1000 km of metro services.
Omar Abdullah, LG Manoj Sinha, and Dr. Jitender Singh praised the approval of Jammu's new railway division, emphasizing the region's infrastructure growth. They assured that the rail link to Srinagar will benefit Jammu's trade, tourism, and connectivity.
The development comes as part of the Modi government's significant infrastructure investments in the state, including a Rs5,336 crore allocation for the railway budget this year and the ongoing upgrade of 44 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat scheme.

Manchester Airport said on Sunday morning that it had temporarily shut its runways due to heavy snow. In a post shared on social media, the airport said that staff members were on the ground to clear the snow from the runway, before the runway reopened around 9:45 am (local time).
