The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alerts for multiple districts in Himachal Pradesh, as the state continues to witness heavy rainfall, particularly in the capital city, Shimla, over the past 24 hours.
Speaking to ANI, Uttarkashi District Magistrate Prashant Arya said, "Due to a cloud burst in Silai Band on the Barkot-Yamunotri Marg of Uttarkashi district, a hotel under construction has suffered heavy damage. Eighty-nine workers staying at this under-construction hotel site are missing.
The event saw participation from children as young as nine years old to senior citizens over 80. Competitions were held in four categories: Half Marathon, Mini Marathon, Dream Run, and a Special Run for participants with disabilities.
