Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a sharp attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections on Sunday, accusing him of betraying Delhi voters and attempting to tarnish the image of the Congress party.
Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati condemned the incident that happened in Ayodhya where the body of a girl was recovered in a mutilated state and urged the government to take strict action so that a similar incident does not occur in future.
"Arvind Kejriwal said that he will bring new political system, will finish corruption...He also promised that he would clean the Yamuna water within 5 years, and would take a dip in it but it is still dirty...I would ask him to drink it, we will meet in the hospital after that," Gandhi said
Chugh also took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his criticism of the budget, and said their party only believes in "cutting the pockets" of poor.
"The inhumanity and brutal murder of a Dalit daughter in Ayodhya is heart-breaking and very shameful. If the administration had paid heed to the cry for help of the girl's family that had been echoing for three days, perhaps her life could have been saved," Rahul Gandhi said.

Hitting out at the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government, Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had promised a "new politics" but ended up looting "crores of public money" through the "biggest liquor scam" in the national capital.
"They will give you a little, they will waive a little tax but if you see the target of the budget, is to provide India's money to 20-25 billionaires," Rahul Gandhi said.
