Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on Saturday, alleged that the BJP-led centre is allegedly protecting the businessman Gautam Adani in the Adani stocks issue because they themselves are Adani.
Days after Rahul Gandhi's conviction by the Surat court, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said that no attempts were made to seek a stay on the magistrate court's verdict to encash Rahul Gandhi's conviction in Karnataka assembly polls.

The Congress leader stated, "I will keep asking questions on Adani issue, they cannot scare me by disqualification or putting me in jail. I won't back down."
BJP Tamil Nadu chief K Annamalai on Saturday said that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had in 2013 opposed the move to protect convicted lawmakers from instant disqualification.
The plea challenges the constitutional validity of Section 8(3) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 which lays down the automatic disqualification of a legislator while terming it illegal.
Sharing a clip from various newspapers on Twitter, highlighting Rahul Gandhi's disqualification as a Member of Lok Sabha (MP), Tharoor said, "They tried to silence a voice. Now every corner of the world hears the voice of India."
