Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday met violence-affected people in Manipur's Churachandpur on the first day of his two-day visit to the state that has seen ethnic violence.
"The state and the central government have to do the work of controlling the situation. During such times, no political leader should force himself into the situation, especially when he is not capable of bringing any resolution," Sarma slammed Rahul Gandhi.
On a day his cavalcade was stopped on the way to Churachandpur in strife-torn Manipur, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the state, which has been racked by ethnic violence and clashes, needs healing and peace should be the only priority now.
