The Bihar Police have tightened security outside the residence of Congress turncoat Shakeel Ahmad after he accused the Congress top line of directing youth Congress leaders to attack his residence in Patna and Madhubani.
Ahmad claimed he was informed by Congress Youth leaders about the instructions, saying, "I have not expressed an apprehension, but the leaders of the youth Congress have informed me this. I thank them for this...They are doing this on the instructions of the top leadership."
The fissures in the Congress are coming to the fore, days after senior Congress leaders Shakeel Ahmad and Rashid Alvi alleged that there is "no internal democracy" and "Communication gap" in the party.
A day earlier, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi attended the Republic Day parade at Delhi's Kartavya Path. However, their placement in the third row has sparked a political row.
