Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, while attending the Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti celebrations on Tuesday, said that no one in the world could have achieved what the Indian poet did in the field of creativity.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday paid tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary and said that "his thoughts on justice and equality shaped India's worldview while his timeless works provided the intellectual foundation for the freedom movement".
"Tripura, the rest of India and even the world is aware of his contributions. He was an inspiration for the past generations. He is an inspiration for us and generations to come. The spirit of Rabindranath Tagore is alive everywhere," Saha said.

He authored several volumes of poetical works that stand out to proclaim his philosophy of life and spiritualism. He championed the ideals of naturalism, humanism, internationalism and idealism.
