Amid the controversy over alleged "cash for query" allegations against TMC MP Mahua Moitra, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey has once again targeted her, saying that "there are only three years of jail for the corruption."
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra of "asking questions in the Lok Sabha in exchange for cash and gifts," has once again targeted her, saying that the TMC MP has time for media interviews but not for appearing before the Ethics Committee.
"First BJP said "Cash for Questions." That failed since no evidence to back the fake allegation. Now it is "National Security", said Mahua Moitra in a post on X.
"When the Ethics Committee has called her, she should go. The allegation against her is huge, she gave her parliament login ID password to a businessman, which is a breach of privilege and she should be punished," said BJP President Sukanta Majumdar.
The Lok Sabha Ethics Committee has now asked TMC MP Mahua Moitra to appear before it on November 2 in connection with the alleged 'Cash for Query' scandal.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Friday targeted TMC MP Mahua Moitra over 'Cash-for-Query' saying, "Even if she does not accept her mistakes, then too, the truth cannot be hidden."
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey on Saturday alleged that attempts are made to influence the witness amid the 'Cash-for-Query' row and urged the Lok Sabha speaker to take action.

Terming as "very serious" the cash for query charge against Mahua Moitra, BJP leader Priyanka Tibrewal on Thursday said the onus was on the Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP to convince the ethics committee during her appearance on October 31 that she had done nothing wrong.
