Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur attended the opening ceremony of Khelo India Dus Ka Dum on Friday. The event will start from be from March 10 to 31. While talking to ANI Anurag Thakur said "Empowering women through sports is the motive of this (Khelo India Dus Ka Dum) event."
The financial assistance will cover their visa, airfare, travel, lodging, boarding and food costs among others and will also provide them with a daily allowance for other expenses.
