Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Russian capital, the Indian diaspora residing in Moscow expressed their enthusiasm towards meeting PM Modi and asserted that they are happy and grateful to the Indian Embassy for giving them the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh on Monday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his visit to Russia asking a series of questions which included whether the PM would question Russian President Vladimir Putin about the unsustainable trade deficit between the two countries.

S Jaishankar on Monday said that the biggest change in relations with Russia is that the economic relationship between the two countries has improved tremendously.
"They are jealous- that means they are closely monitoring it. Their close monitoring means they attach great importance to it. And they are not mistaken, there is something to attach great importance to," Peskov said
