Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan described the stampede during the Puri Ratha Yatra as "unfortunate" and stated that appropriate action will be taken once the ongoing investigation is completed.
Speaking to ANI, BJP leader Biranchi Narayan Tripathy said, "Whatever happened in Puri is very distressing. The government is very upset and is also taking steps to ensure that something like this does not happen again in the future."
