The Punjab Vigilance Bureau apprehended Sammy Dhiman, an accused who had orchestrated a significant financial loss to the government, amounting to Rs. 25 crores approximately in Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue, through the use of fraudulent invoices and fictitious firms.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has registered a case against an assistant Inspector General (AIG) of the Human Rights Cell of the Punjab Police along with two others for alleged extortion and taking bribes from government employees, said officials.
According to an official release, the apprehended individuals have been identified as Vishal Kumar and Jatinder Kumar, who are both residents of Ludhiana.
