The car in which 'Waris Punjab De' leader Amritpal Singh fled while being chased by police has been recovered and he visited a Gurudwara in Nangal Ambian village in Jalandhar district and changed his clothes before fleeing again, a senior Punjab Police official said here on Thursday
Gurmukh Singh, the caretaker of the Deaddiction Centre said, "The police came here and searched the Centre. They asked us to close the Centre. There were 70 people here, who came for treatment. They were sent back."
"The work being done by Punjab Police, the Punjab government and the central government for arresting Amritpal Singh is commendable. The anti-national elements should not be spared," Vinod Bansal said.
Uttarakhand Police Headquarters told ANI that the state police is also on full alert mode regarding absconding pro-Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh from Punjab.
According to sources, Harjeet Singh, uncle to Amritpal Singh was brought from Punjab to the military airport in Jorhat, from where he was brought to the Dibrugarh Jail under security by road.
