Pakistan court approved post-arrest bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati, who was arrested on November 27 for the "highly obnoxious campaign of intimidating tweets [...] against state institutions".
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sent a notice to the state over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Khan Swati's post-arrest bail plea in the controversial tweets case, The News International reported.
Swati was arrested over a "highly obnoxious campaign of intimidating tweets against state institutions" by the Federal Investigation Agency on November 27.
Azam Khan Swati continues to remain in Balochistan police custody on a physical remand in one of the cases registered against him, The News International reported.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sought a report from Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. He also directed the Interior Minister to get a report from the Punjab Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab.
