Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Haider Panjotha has claimed that his client has been provided C-class facilities and kept in "poor condition" in Attock jail. Panjotha added that the PTI Chairman is ready to spend his whole life in prison. Geo News reported.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), seeking the shifting of party chairman Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail.
On Saturday, the Shangla administration declared Section 144, imposing a ban on gatherings for a month. However, the PTI activists held a protest against the arrest of the party's chairman Imran Khan, forcing the administration to start a crackdown on them for violating the ban.
Following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, the authorities have imposed section 144 for seven days in several districts of Punjab, reported ARY News.
This comes after the PTI chief was convicted and arrested in the Toshakhana case after a district and sessions court in Islamabad found him guilty of selling state gifts in violation of laws.
He said, "PTI will use its right to challenge the decision by knocking on the doors of the higher judiciary." He further said, "We will defend Imran Khan with all legal means, he said, while further adding that we will opt for all the legal ways to defend him."
Despite warning the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan over the party's failure to hold intra-party elections, he did not appear before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday, reported The Express Tribune.
Pakistan's Supreme Court on Friday dismissed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's plea against trial proceedings in connection with the Toshakhana criminal complaint after he withdrew the petition, Pakistan-based Dawn reported.
