As Sikkim initiated G20 events in the State on Thursday, Chief Minister Prem Singh Golay laid thrust on the globalisation of locals stead of localisation of globals.
Sikkim has received 52 overseas delegates and 50 Indian delegates including 4 ambassadors for the upcoming G20 meet starting from March 16, officials said.
"It was next to impossible to hand over 16,000 cheques in a day hence 32 mothers, one from every constituency are being awarded here today. However, the remaining mothers will receive money directly from the State Bank of Sikkim bank account," the Sikkim CM said.
