The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Cooperation in Broadcasting between India's Prasar Bharti and Malaysia's Radio Televisyen Malaysia, the Cabinet said in a press release on Wednesday.
DD Sports was launched on 18 March, 1998. In the beginning it broadcast sports program for 6 hours a day which was increased to 12 hours in 1999. From June 2000, DD Sports became a round the clock satellite channel.
There will be a total of 36 episodes, one for each State. The episodes will be aired 11am each day while the first episode will be of Madhya Pradesh's finals. The episodes will also be uploaded on Prasar Bharati Sports YouTube Channel, said the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
