Janata Dal (Secular) leader and candidate HD Kumaraswamy from Mandya has said we have got the expected results and people have shown that JD(S) is still alive in Karnataka.
In spite of an aggressive campaign by the ruling Congress in Karnataka to provide five "guarantee" schemes to the people of the state, the NDA alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) are leading in Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka.
The Special Court of People's Representatives in Bengaluru on Friday granted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) six-day custody of suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in connection with the alleged obscene video case.
The case is registered in KR Nagara police station against HD Revanna and others for the alleged abduction of a victim of sexual assault by Prajwal Revanna.
Revanna was brought to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital in Bengaluru for a medical examination. After the conclusion of the medical exam, Prajwal was taken to the City civil court where he was produced before the 42nd ACMM court judge.
The Hasan MP was arrested by the SIT on Thursday night at Bengaluru Airport and is expected to be produced before the Magistrate in the Special Court of People's Representatives soon.
Earlier, Bhavani Revanna, mother of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who is accused in the obscene video case, filed an anticipatory bail in the kidnapping case in which her husband was earlier arrested.
The anticipatory bail application filed by Revanna earlier is also expected to be considered void as the JD (S) suspended MP has already been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
