"The Congress was not finding candidates to contest the coming parliamentary polls due to fear of defeat. Even the ministers are hesitant to contest. The reality is that the Congress does not have the candidates to fight the elections," Bommai said.
Five ministers have also been made candidates for the Lok Sabha election, including Gurmeet Singh Khudian from Bathinda, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal from Amritsar, Laljit Singh Bhullar from Khandur Sahib, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from Sangrur and Dr Balbir Singh from Patiala.
