A wanted criminal carrying a Rs 10,000 cash reward in his name, was arrested after a police encounter New Agra police station area during the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Muhammed Gufran, a criminal wanted for multiple cases of murder and dacoity in Pratapgarh and Sultanpur districts for many years. Police had placed a reward of Rs 1,25,000 lakh for his capture.
According to details, the dacoits were fleeing after looting a man near Abdullah college North Nazimabad but police killed both of them in the encounter.
