Director General of Police, Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on Thursday they have averted possible target killings with the arrest of 2 members of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)-backed terror module.
According to an official release, "In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling activities, Assam Rifles, along with Hnahlan Police, recovered methamphetamine (7500 tablets) costing Rs 2,25,00,000 on March 5, 2024."
A senior official of STF said, "Acting on intelligence input, an STF team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Kalyan Kumar Pathak conducted a raid at Hotel Bijita in the Paltan Bazar area of Guwahati on Wednesday."

DGP Kumar said that Negi was arrested on March 5. Negi already faces charges under the SC/ST Act, and a new case has been registered against him after he got into a scuffle with policemen during his arrest.
