Officials of Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested one person, accused of beating up a 36-year-old private cleaner, working at Janpath in NDMC area, in the national capital.
The accused have been identified as Arun, Kamal and Anurag. The police also recovered one sophisticated Pistol with 3 loaded live cartridges and one country-made pistol with one loaded live cartridge from the possession of the accused persons.
The accused clerk has been identified as Shubham Gupta. He was demanding the bribe of Rs 5000 from a woman contractual employee posted in MPEB (Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board) in lieu of withdrawing her maternity leave money.
According to police, the accused, identified as Shoaib (22), a resident of Wazirpur village, snatched a mobile phone from a resident of Ashok Vihar, when he was on his way home from office.
The accused was caught red-handed by the public when he raised an alarm, officials said.
The team of Special Operations Group (SOG) and Rajasthan Police caught Saran from the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru on Thursday night and cases have been registered against him in two different police stations in Udaipur, the police said.
