Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao released a video from farmhouses where BJP allegedly tried to poach four Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs last month.
TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Goud Yaskhi made a scathing attack on Rajgopal Reddy after he joined BJP and alleged that the tender process with Sushi Infratech was "pre-fixed".
Accusing the K C Rao-led government of withdrawing the general consent for CBI investigation as per their convenience, BJP spokesperson Rachana Reddy on Sunday said, "Telangana government used 'GO 51' conveniently in Moinabad farmhouse case."
"Recently some brokers from Delhi tried to buy Telangana's self-respect and offered Rs 100 crores to our leaders and asked them to leave the party and come along, but they (four MLAs) kicked the offer, by saying politics is not about getting sold, we are not groceries in a store," KCR said.
The MLAs poaching case in Telangana has taken a new turn after it emerged on Sunday that the KCR government had withdrawn the general consent earlier given to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The state government issued GO on August 30, 2022, which came to light today.
The High Court was hearing the plea by Cyberabad Police seeking the arrest and remand of the three accused in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs poaching case.
All three accused in the TRS MLAs poaching case were released by police after Telangana's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court rejected the request of Cyberabad Police to send them to judicial custody.
