Rahul Gandhi's reaffirmation comes amid Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's earlier remarks praising the industrial policy of Kerala. However, earlier today Tharoor had expressed dismay over the state's startup entrepreneurship story.
"There have been many women's movements in the state of Kerala. The public of Kerala has become aware of the role played by progressive movements and left-wing governments," Vijayan said.
The meeting on February 27 aims to find a solution to the rising incidents of human-wildlife conflicts in Kerala, which have become a major concern for the state's authorities.
"Their demands are just and fair. UDF MPs will take this issue to the Indian Parliament. The state government must shed its arrogance. This is a legitimate protest, and the Congress party fully supports it," Venugopal said.
Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi wrote to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, highlighting the delays in compensating families of victims of human-wildlife conflicts. Her letter was based on heartfelt petitions received from the relatives of the deceased.
