Kerala High Court has ordered that no one should offer helicopter service or VIP darshan to Sabarimala temple. Court also held that no one should be given special treatment in the temple.
More than 2.5 lakh pilgrims have visited Lord Ayappa Temple at Sabrimala in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district in the first six days of the ongoing pilgrimage season, said Kerala Devaswom Department Minister K Radhakrishnan on Wednesday.

As per the state police, the bus carrying pilgrims was going from Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada to the holy pilgrim site of Sabrimala when it met with an accident near Laha in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala.
"A large number of stretches have been completed. We are hoping to complete the work on the road by 2024 which will allow pilgrims to use vehicles right up to the last point in India," Indian Army's Engineer in Chief Lt Gen Harpal Singh said.
The Kerala High Court directed Travancore Devaswom Board and Cochin Devaswom Board to ensure proper facilities are provided to Sabarimala pilgrims in the temples, which are identified as the edathavalams (transit camps) under their management during the upcoming pilgrimage season.
