A total of 9,150 devotees took darshan at the Amarnath Cave shrine on Thursday, taking the cumulative figure of devotees to 369,288. This surpasses last year's total of 365,721 devotees taking the Yatra.
The number of Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims who died in Saudi Arabia this year has reached 117 till July 27, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bangladesh. Among the deceased, 91 were men and 26 were women.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has refuted misleading allegations of stone pelting of Amarnath yatris by miscreants as seen in a video circulated on social media, an official statement said on Wednesday.
Uttarakhand's Special Task Force (STF) busted a gang involved in cheating pilgrims on the pretext of helicopter ticket booking for Kedarnath Dham Yatra. Three members of the gang have also been arrested, said police on Wednesday.
The BKTC chairman further said that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has also directed that every possible help should be provided to the pilgrims in case the road gets blocked during the rainy season.
