Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in the second phase of voting to be held on Monday under the three-tier Panchayat elections.
"As a result of the incident, more than 20 people were injured. 15 of them were taken to the Mesyagut Central district hospital. Eight people were hospitalized. Two of them are in serious condition, the rest are of moderate severity," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

At least six people were killed and several others injured in the incident that occurred during a heavy rush of devotees. Four of the people killed in the incident are from Uttar Pradesh.
