Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that it has arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 700 grams of Charas-like contraband substance from his possession in Kulgam district.
Madurai police foiled a smuggling bid and seized 951 kgs of Contraband (ganja) along with the arrest of two persons during checking in Tamil Nadu's Madurai.
According to DCP (South) Chandan Chaudhary, secret information was received by the Narcotics Squad that a person involved in supplying of contraband substances would come near Raman Manjul DDA Park, Main Road in Greater Kailash.

The official further said that a team of STF with the help of Assam Police arrested Salim in connection with a case registered on December 3 last year.
A drug peddler was apprehended and 18,800 Yaba tablets were recovered in a joint operation by the Meghalaya Police and the 100 battalion BSF Meghalaya.
"Inputs were received from reliable sources that two women from Uganda are supplying drugs in the coastal region of Anjuna for the last few days," police said.
In 2022 alone, the police have attached Rs.12.5 crore worth of properties from the offenders and their relatives, who have been involved in 13 ganja cases in the south zone limit, South zone IG Asra Garg said.
