Amid an uptick in coronavirus infections in India, there is no plan so far to make RT-PCR testing for Covid 19 mandatory at Airports for travellers in the country, official sources in the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
The specific case of JN.1 was identified in an RT-PCR positive sample from Karakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on December 8. The patient, who initially tested positive on November 18, experienced mild symptoms of ILI and has since recovered from COVID-19.
"A PCR call was received at around 4 p.m. today. Upon reaching the site, we found that a man named Dipesh Savla, who was a resident of Maharashtra's Mumbai, had allegedly hanged himself by the ceiling fan in his room," said the police.
A delhi police official said they received a PCR call today at 6: 18 AM informing them that a man had been shot dead. The caller further informed that the man was breathing following which a team reached the spot and discovered a man with a head injury lying on the road.
"A PCR call was received on Monday at 8:32 pm, regarding robbery. It was found that Sachin Gupta has an electrical shop at LIG flats opposite the Indian Oil Petrol Pump near Durgapuri Gol Chakkar, Jyoti Nagar. He was leaving his shop to go home at around 8:00 p.m. when four people robbed him
Giving information about the case, police said, "On October 10, at around 11:20 PM a PCR call was received at Vasant Kunj North Police Station that a body of an unidentified male with injuries was found near the service road of NH8."
