Congress leader Pawan Khera criticised Union Minister Amit Shah for his remarks on Muslim population in India, calling it an attempt to "fan the Hindu-Muslim fire" and polarise voters ahead of the upcoming elections.
Khera mocked the BJP, saying that a coin of Rs 60 should have been issued, the same amount that freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar used to receive from the Britishers.
Informing further via his X account, Khera wrote, "Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, has embarked on a visit to South America. He is scheduled to engage with political leaders, university students, and members of the business community across four countries."
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Wednesday targeted the BJP-led government during the meeting in Patna, accusing it of "systematically dismantling democratic institutions and constitutional values."
"This is a historic CWC (Congress Working Committee) meeting in a historic state, and historic decisions will be made," Khera said while speaking to reporters.
