Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words, Patra said that the Mahakumbh was a "Kumbh of Unity." He said that 60 crore people had taken a dip in the Sangam.
Singer Kailash Kher took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Sunday morning. He was joined by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Sambit Patra for the holy dip.
"After the report by the Governor of Manipur, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, has put the state assembly under suspended animation, meaning it can be revived as and when the President of India deems fit, depending on circumstances," Patra told ANI.

Patra, the BJP's in-charge in Manipur, amid the ongoing political and security challenges in the state, will now be provided security cover by armed CRPF personnel during his stay and visit to Manipur.
BJP MP Rabindra Narayan Behera said that some restrictions should be imposed on social media platforms. Commenting on the remarks made by social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, Behera said that such remarks destroy the culture.

Biren Singh tendered his resignation to Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhawan on Sunday, nearly two years after violence erupted in the state. Singh was accompanied by BJP president A Sharda, BJP's North East Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra, and at least 19 MLAs.
