West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Khagen Murmu in the hospital on Tuesday, a day after he was allegedly attacked while distributing flood relief material in Nagrakata.
Speaking to ANI on Tuesday, Sahni said, "Everything on seat sharing has been finalised internally. Perhaps tomorrow evening we will hold a press conference and give information."
The meeting, chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, will be held virtually with various CEC members and senior leaders of the party set to attend. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will be joining online too while on a visit to the South American countries.
"Several stated that the fare hike was costing them up to ₹500 extra per month -- an unsustainable amount for low-income families. Some even raised slogans against the Congress-led state government," read the party's statement.
Union Minister Pradhan was accompanied by party's Bihar BJP incharge Vinod Tarde, state minister Mangal Pandey as they met with Union Minister Paswan at his residence in Delhi.
MP Khagen Murmu was reportedly attacked by some local persons while he was visiting flood-affected areas in Jalpaiguri's Dooars region in West Bengal on October 6 (Monday) to oversee relief and rescue operations, whereupon, the member sustained serious injuries to the head. Along with Mur

Earlier on October 3, CM Stalin spoke about the Katchatheevu issue and said that the BJP-led Centre is "refusing" to request the island back from Sri Lanka, despite a resolution passed by the Tamil Nadu assembly.
