Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) has started preparations for conducting the Three-tier Panchayat elections in the state by initiating the process of compiling the voter list and finalizing polling stations.
The High-Level Committee on 'One Nation One Election' in its report recommended that there should be a single electoral roll and Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) for use in elections to all three tiers of the government.
