TTP terrorists stormed the Karachi Police Chief's office on February 17, resulting in a hours-long combat between terrorists and various law enforcement agencies which claimed lives of four people.
Despite an increase in militant attacks last month, the resultant deaths declined compared to January. Militants carried out 58 terrorist attacks during the past month in which 62 people were killed including 27 civilians, 18 security forces personnel and 17 militants.
The authority in a notification said: "It has been observed with grave concern that despite repeated directives satellite TV channels are unable to comply with provisions of the Electronic Media Code of Conduct-2015 in letter and spirit."
