"A drone entering from the Pakistan side has been intercepted (by fire) by alert BSF troops in Gurdaspur Sector. On being fired, the drone returned back to Pak. Search operation underway," BSF Punjab Frontier tweeted.
"A drone intruding into Indian territory by crossing the Line of Control from Pakistan (side) was shot down on the intervening night of April 12-13, in the Beri Pattan area of the Sundarbani sector of Rajouri," PRO Defence Jammu said.
In a statement, BSF said, "On Friday at about 02:28 am, BSF troops deployed along the Indo-Pakistan border in the area of Metla in the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab detected a drone infiltrating into Indian territory from Pakistan side, and subsequently fired upon the rogue drone."
An intruder from the Pakistan side was trying to enter India on the intervening night of March 8-9 at Border Out Post in Rajatal in the Amritsar sector.
