Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan is willing to talk to all but only on elections, his lawyer said on Saturday after meeting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief in jail.
Islamabad police on Friday rearrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, Pakistan-based Dawn reported. His arrest came hours after the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered his release.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) as per sources, took Qureshi into custody from his Islamabad residence in connection with the ongoing investigation into cypher which PTI alleges contained the threat from the United States to oust Imran Khan from power.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Haider Panjotha has claimed that his client has been provided C-class facilities and kept in "poor condition" in Attock jail. Panjotha added that the PTI Chairman is ready to spend his whole life in prison. Geo News reported.
He further said that the court directed to keep the PTI chief at the Adiala Jail but he was shifted to the Attock Jail. He added that there is a lack of facilities at the Attock Jail where "B Class" facilities are not provided, ARY News reported.
This comes after the PTI chief was convicted and arrested in the Toshakhana case after a district and sessions court in Islamabad found him guilty of selling state gifts in violation of laws.
After the Islamabad High Court set aside the trial court verdict in the Toshakhana case, a district and sessions court in the federal capital summoned the former prime minister Imran Khan in his personal capacity on Saturday, Geo News reported.
In their statements, both the sisters denied their involvement in the attack on the Jinnah House and damaging the public property during the violent protests triggered after Khan’s arrest.
