Pakistan International Airlines has started partial suspension of both its domestic and international flights amid the ongoing fiscal crunch, The Express Tribune reported on Saturday.
Addressing a press briefing on Friday after a high-level meeting at the PM House, Kakar once again ruled out the prospect of announcing the election date.
Quoting the caretaker PM Kakar's statement in an interview, PM Kakar said, “The vandalism and arson on May 9 were witnessed by the whole world and international newspapers reported the tragedy. This kind of manipulation is not acceptable in any form of government.”
Pakistan’s Foreign Office reported PM Kakar was scheduled to visit Nairobi, Kenya to attend the Africa Climate Summit at the invitation of President William Samoei Ruto, from September 4 to 6.
“It is not a very serious issue, but political parties are in election mode and using it as a social cause,” the interim prime minister told senior journalists and news anchors on Friday.
In an order issued on Sunday, the party's secretary general Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari directed workers to protest at the city union council and tehsil levels.
