Pakistan's Supreme Court on Friday dismissed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's plea against trial proceedings in connection with the Toshakhana criminal complaint after he withdrew the petition, Pakistan-based Dawn reported.
The six-member bench of the Pakistan apex court included Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Ayesha A Malik.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail called it important "to revisit the power of 'one-man show' enjoyed by the office of the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
