The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday foiled a smuggling attempt and recovered 3 packets of contraband, suspected to be heroin near the bordering village Kabul Shah in Firozpur, Punjab.
The Divisional Preventive Force of Imphal Customs seized Tablets valued at Rs 2.68 crore and packets containing 736 grams (gross) of opium, valued at Rs 1.46 lakh, informed Customs officials on Wednesday.
Thwarting a drug smuggling attempt, Assam Rifles seized nearly 12 packets each of 525 grams of Brown Sugar Drugs worth Rs 1.05 Crores from Khudengthabi in Chandel districts of Manipur on Saturday, as per an official statement.
Three bags drone dropped from Pakistan were recovered, containing 6 suspected heroin packets weighing approximately 6 kg including the packing material. The price of suspected heroin recovered in the international market is 30 crores.
As per information, 900 ration packets each consisting of 5 kgs of rice, 5 kg of flour, oil and 2,350 blankets were given to the affected people of the Joshimath area in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Many families have been affected due to the land subsidence in the area.
Border Security Force (BSF) busted a smuggling bid on India-Pakistan border and recovered two packets of suspected heroin, fluorescent balls and an air-dropping bag in Bikaner.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Biswanath, Kulendra Nath Deka said, "When the police team was chasing the vehicle, the apprehended persons had thrown several packets of Ganja on road and tried to flee."
In a statement, Police Commissioner Senthil Kumar said, "Police seized 567 packets of banned tobacco, 333 grams of ganja and 60 bottles of liquor illegally stashed in a simultaneous raid across Madurai city."
According to the BSF, they recovered three 3 packets, containing 7.5 kgs of suspected heroin, a pistol, two magazines and 50 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.
