Load-shedding, spanning 18 hours, has made it impossible for people to carry out their work in Balochistan, as per the news report. With the ongoing power outages in Balochistan, tailors have not been able to stitch clothes, while Ramzan is the most important month for them to earn money.
On Thursday, angry people took to the streets in some parts of the city and spoke against the Sui Southern Gas Company for piling miseries on them during Ramzan, as per the Dawn report.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has asked all telecom service providers to report network outages to it with the proper root causes and what corrective actions were taken subsequently.
During the protest, the speakers at the rally said that the government has not been able to control the profiteering and hoarding in Ramazan, making it difficult for the poor to make both ends meet, as per the Dawn report.
Utility company Pacific Gas and Electric said the storm system "exceeded all expectations," damaging electric infrastructure and knocking out power to thousands. The company said its crews are working as quickly as possible to assess equipment damaged by the storm.

In Gilgit Baltistan, many residents including women gathered at the intersection and blocked Shahrah-i-Quaid-i-Azam to protest up to 22 hours of daily power outages in their area.
The message was conveyed during the authority's meeting with major telecom service providers (TSPs) to review the issues related to the quality of telecom services being faced by consumers and the menace of unsolicited commercial communications (UCC).
Locals at Chitral in Peshawar protested against power outages and dilapidated conditions of roads in their district on Sunday, the Dawn reported, adding that the protesters claimed that the government had not paid attention to their demands.
